European officials approve ban on menthol cigarettes
STRASBOURG, France This week’s vote by the members of the European Parliament (MEPs) has all but put an expiration date on menthol cigarettes across Europe. The parliament voted to ban menthol and other flavors beginning in 2022. However, in what is considered a defeat to MEPs from the United Kingdom, the members voted against regulating electronic cigarettes as medicines, according to a report by The Guardian.
