- When going outside to smoke only take one cigarette with you not the whole pack.
- Carry chewing gum with you. If the person is notorious for bumming smokes, but never pays you back, tell them you don’t have any cigarette to spare, but you can offer a stick of gum. It’s a lot cheaper than a cigarette.
- Don’t instantaneously dismiss someone grubbing a butt.
